Creating a survey

To create a survey, follow these steps:

  1. From the survey screen, click on the Create Survey button on the top right corner
  2. A right panel appears. Enter the survey title and click on Create and Continue to continue adding details to this survey
  3. You will land on the survey studio where you can tune this survey’s settings.

Basic information

You can define basic information for a survey in its studio by following these steps:

  1. In the survey studio, navigate to Details tab
  2. You’ll land in Basic Information tab where you can define following attributes for a survey
    1. Title
    2. Description
  3. Once specified, you can click on the Save button to save your changes to survey

Survey builder

Builder in the survey studio allows you to build your survey with different types of questions. You can access a survey’s builder by navigating to the Builder tab in a survey studio as shown:

You can perform the following actions in a builder:

  1. Add a question to your survey. For details about types of questions available and how to add them, go to this section below.
  2. Reorder questions by using the icon on the left side of each question title and dragging and dropping it as required
  3. Clone a question to duplicate all its details into a new question
  4. Delete a question to remove it from the survey
Adding questions using a survey builder

You can add the following types of questions in your survey:

Adding a text question

A text question is useful for collecting small input of single-line text. To add a text question to a survey, follow these steps:

  1. Click on Text
  2. Enter a title for your question
  3. Click on Save to save your changes
Adding a single choice question

A single choice question is useful when you want the respondent to select one option from a given list. To add a single choice question to a survey, follow these steps:

  1. Click on Single Choice
  2. Enter a title for your question
  3. Enter the choices in the textboxes given. You can also add choices at specific locations, as well as remove any choice that you may not need
  4. Click on Save to save your changes
Adding a multiple choice question

Multiple choice question is useful when you want the respondent to select multiple options from a given list. To add a multiple choice question to a survey, follow these steps:

  1. Click on Multiple Choice
  2. Enter a title for your question
  3. Enter the choices in the textboxes given. You can also add choices at specific locations, as well as remove any choice that you may not need
  4. Click on Save to save your changes
Adding a single choice matrix question

A single choice matrix question is useful when you want to collect data against a group of items where a list of set options is provided for each item and the user can select one option against each item. To add a single choice matrix question to a survey, follow these steps:

  1. Click on Single Choice Matric Question
  2. Enter a title for your question
  3. To define the matrix rows and columns, you can
    1. Edit any row title
    2. Edit any column title
    3. Add/remove a row wherever needed
    4. Add/remove a column wherever needed
  4. Click on Save to save your changes
